Will never again make the mistake of pre-paying for 3 nights when booking a Thai resort or hotel. This place is far from anywhere, the pool villas are in terrible condition. After checking in we had to call reception to send someone to sweep up dead bugs in the bedroom and remove the leaves from the pool. Be careful of the pool villas here, the pool is a joke, about 2 feet deep and the water is so freezing cold you cannot use it, maybe 'paddling pool villas' is a more appropriate name. The plugs do not even suit Thai appliances, had to ask for an adapter. The place is beyond rustic, its obviously old, not kept up well at all. Only suitable for very low budget travellers and people that appreciate an extremely laid back attitude. We had lunch when we arrived and the food was ok, i' ve had much better cheaper Thai food. Will never understand why people choose to manage and maintain resorts like this? The surroundings (although not the fault of the hotel) is very dry and not much green as summer is here. Na! Sorry, this is not going to be the kind of stay i was hoping for! Can't wait until dark, to discover what light bulbs don't work! Oh, did i mention the bed is hard as rock.

Chiang Mai is mostly packed between the months of October to February as local Thais travel north to catch a bit cooler weather that time of year. Avoid the crowds and travel instead during March to August and you will likely get great deals for big, cosy pool villas like they have here. The place is only about 30 minutes away from Chiang Mai city center, but once there, you will feel like you’re in a different world— more quiet, more with nature. Everything you need is here, from food, spa, massage, and plenty of place to walk around. You will like their complementary breakfast of homemade yogurt, fresh bread and jams among other things. Then in the afternoon you can have drinks by the pool. At night, you will enjoy the romantic view from your bed overlooking the dimly-lit lights around your private pool. The bath area in your private pool villa is really exceptional. You have all the options of an outdoor rain shower, an indoor shower, as well as a bath tub. Overall a great value for money!

First of all, the entrance of the resort was really good, classy, clean. However, night mare started when we arrive at lobby... the lobby was dirty, lobby with no reception standby, and the worst was they try to create a "River" surrounded lobby design, the water isnt flow, and become black color, and the smell was bad ..... Room was nearly towards dirty .... out door shower was just too dirty to be used ... Nothing good about this place .... terrible !!

Nice cozy resort with cabins scattered in a lush garden with beautiful bug trees. An ideal place to relax and rejuvenate at their organic spa. The restaurant offers lovely scrumptious dishes. They also offer shuttle service to town locations...

A beautiful, peaceful, out of the way hotel in Hang Dong. Each room is actually an individual hut. My room was spacious, with high ceilings. The bathroom was private, but was in a separate, outdoor part of the room, where I had the option of using the shower inside (in the bathtub), or using the outdoor shower. The furniture is old and dark, but it added to the very rustic feel of the place. The beds were low to the ground and were very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and served locally sourced food. Your view from the restaurant allowed to you see the garden where they grow much of the vegetables used in their dishes. Breakfast was very tasty and you’re offered a variety of options. In the evenings, flying insects make dining in the restaurant a challenge, however, they give you the option of having your food brought to your room, which is what I did. Location-wise, there is nothing in the immediate area within walking distance. If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and isolation, this place is perfect. To get to the old town, you’ll need a cab. The hotel provides a shuttle into town twice daily if necessary. Your best bet is to download the Grab app on your phone. It’s southeast Asia’s version of Uber. You pay in cash. Prices are super cheap. One night, I went to the Saturday night market. A Grab driver picked me up quickly, and I was at the market in about 20 minutes, for less than 200 baht ($6). The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. On my last morning there, I sat outside on the comfortable lounge cushions that were on the porch right outside my room. All you hear is the breeze and some birds. It’s very, very peaceful. If you want to be in the center of the action, this hotel might be a bit off the beaten path. If you want peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, with great food, this is the place for you.

I stayed 4 nights while on business and found the return each evening so relaxing. I stayed in 506 which was a walk from the main area but the secluded area was so quiet. My room was a bit dark (used my phone flashlight to see if I dropped something) but the bed was comfortable and all needed amenities were provided. The organic food at the restaurant was exceptional and the service was always prompt and with a smile. I will return here if in Chiang Mai again.

Our family stayed at Narittya villa 203 and 204 during the past two nights. It was recommended by our local friend and we’ve arrived without any specific expectations. But it’s such a wonderful surprise. The winding gentle downslope pebble path leads to the villas hidden behind the tall trees spreading out along the way, and you suddenly find the lotus flower decorated pond at the front of the units. There you are, a hundred meters after the reception area convenience, your absolute seclusiveness and peacefulness. The meals are excellent, but if you’re really lucky, you may get the chance to meet the proprietor herself and her special cuisine menu dishes. Ask her about the Tempe, the eggplants, the variety of starters, ... you’ll be so surprised by the lingering taste on your tip of tongue from every dish. And there’s a small bowl of soup to clear your taste buds for each dish coming up... Hidden treasure it is, the accommodation and the food. My 5 stars recommendation !!

We arrive and had booked two rooms. My villa 105 was adequate, nice veranda, big bathroom with bathtub and walk around outdoor shower covered. Not much lighting there but managed.always checking for critters. Beds was comfortable and housekeeping very good. Dining room, the breakfast was very marginally, so small fruits, no expresso machine, little choice for cereal and eggs made to order. Did not eat my meals here ,since I was invited outside. This resort is not in Chaing Mai and will take 30-45 mins to travel.best to come out here and not do anything but resting and being quiet. Did not try the spa, as it is a call in place where they have to call massage person from outside to come in for service.all in all, this place can be Romantic if this is what you need, otherwise, solo is fine. Front desk is non- plus -means feels like they don’t care if you stay or not. My friend who came with me walked out and went down the block to verandah high.
