Robyn and Malcom were amazing hosts...so much so that we wished we could take them and the property, view and Medlands beach home with us to be our neighbors! Clean, neat and tidy with a very relaxed atmosphere. Spoilt by Owners, a fantastic deal for a busy wife and mother. Met the nicest people in the kitchen and at the Sports Club. Have become a Member :-) Berenice.

Robyn, the host, was amazing and very friendly. The 'dorm' that i was booked into was empty save me, and Robyn spread everyone out to give us room. Across the road from the beach, which is lovely. Wooooa the best ever accommodation in the best ever place. Medlands Beach Backpackers has 2 villas sleeping 4 for only 80 NZD per night, no no not per person, for the whole villa. Winter rates of course but still. And well, GBI is such a special place.... Can't believe I won't be able to go back there before I leave... More
