My husband and I got married here last June, and what can I say... It was perfect! We had a small intimate wedding but Dee and Jo helped sort everything brilliantly, and I can safely say they made the day go off without any hiccups (that I'm aware of anyway!) The venue gave us the most stunning photos as the... More

Many years ago I treated my Mum and Dad to a pre-Christmas Sunday lunch at the Riverside. I have such wonderful memories of that meal. Sadly Dad isn't around anymore but I wanted to treat my Mum to a birthday lunch, so I decided to book a table here again. We had the set 3 course meal (£15.95) and the... More

This was my second visit to The Riverside, and once again my wife and I were not disappointed. The staff cannot do enough for you (thank you Jo and Christina) and as for the food, well it is of the highest quality. It speaks volumes when the Head Chef has been in residence for 15 years! The rooms are well... More

I was travelling home from the Highlands and wanted to break up the journey and found RHH from a random internet search. Selected their DBB Spring Offer of £99 per night. Quiet location and very homely. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy bed - I had the Rose Room on the ground floor with French windows overlooking the lawns. Good restaurant... More

This is our 4th stay at the Riverside in less than 12 months. Once again, we had a fantastic stay from the moment we arrived and were given such a warm welcome. We stayed in one of the garden rooms and was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Dinner was stunning and as usual service is second to none. Breakfast again was... More

We joined friends for a meal, having not been to the Riverside for a number of years, and sadly I don't think we will be back. The meal was 'nice', the Hotel comfortable, and the decor good. BUT the evening was ruined by a domineering waitress who was intrusive, eavesdropping on our conversations, and even taking over the conversation. There... More

We stayed here in between Christmas and New Year for one night. We were travelling as 4 adults and enjoyed our brief spell here. We ate down the the road at The Bull (Delicious) but came back for a night cap and had a very pleasant breakfast the next morning. The rooms are cosy with chairs outside for the summer... More
