In the capital of Arunachal Pradesh on a hilly area there is nice location of a mahal in Itanagar where the rooms are of good quality, conference venue is also available and quite peaceful area surrounding the hotel. Staff is cordial and attentive. however, the food services are of average quality. The rooms on the basement area are quite peaceful.

Itanagar is a tricky town to reach. And there aren't much options to stay. So you gotta make do with what you've got ! And Donyi Polo is like one of the very few or only option here ! Its location is difficult to find, no advertisment hoarding etc to make it convenient for travellers, but once we check in, its reasonably good place to stay. The food is ok, room service is also nice and prompt. Ambience is good, the main drawback is the location and approach.

Hotel Donyi Polo is unfortunately the best hotel in Itanagar. The rooms are old and tired and have that musty smell that is all too common in Indian hotels.
