So sorry for not writing this review sooner but I genuinely thought I had raved about Sue abd Darius' hospitality before! My brother and I stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage in summer of 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit to the area. The cottage is set on the village green with just a short stroll to the Bell on the... More

My husband and I spent 2 lovely nights at Honeysuckle Cottage over the Easter weekend. The characterful cottage is beautifully decorated, warm and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble for friendly and welcoming Sue and Darius, who even left out two wine glasses and a chiller in our room so that we could enjoy the remaining half bottle of... More

My husband and I stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage for two nights after Christmas. We were welcomed by Sue and Darius who were absolutely charming . Our room was very comfortable and homely, tea and chocolate biscuits were just what we needed after our drive from London. The view of the common is lovely , we had two super breakfasts cooked... Having read previous reviews, we were expecting a high quality experience - and we were not to be disappointed! From the moment we arrived, Due & Darius made us feel especially welcome. Nothing was too much trouble from the welcoming pot of tea and recommendation of a taxi company to that superb breakfast. They showed a genuine interest in our... More

My wife and I stayed at Honeysuckle Cottage for a two night break in September 2012 and it was just like home from home. Sue and Darius made us so welcome with a nice pot of tea and a piece of cake. We had the twin room with the separate sitting/bedroom and an awesome power shower. Breakfast was first rate... More

I should have done this before now & I apologise to Sue & Darius for not doing so. My husband & myself had 4 blissful nights in the week of the September heatwave 2011. All that can be said about the hosts, accomodation, food, that everything is perfect. We had the twin room with a sitting room /bedroom next door & a... More

We stayed for 2 nights and left wishing we'd had time to stay longer. The house exudes old world charm without being fussy; clean and comfortable rooms; spotless bathroom facilities; excellent and plentiful breakfasts; and Sue and Darius are welcoming and helpful hosts. We are now considering excuses for making a future booking.
