The double rooms with showers (at least the west facing rooms) are quite roomy and comfortable.   "This is quintessential Switzerland! We stayed in the 300 yr old bunkhouse with only cold running water due to our budget, but the meals in the lovely dining room were superb, the best in our trip. Fresh trout from the Lake Engstlensee and fresh pork chop from nearby. Many APR hikers thru-hike fro..."m Engelberg to Reuti or Meirengen, but this is worth the stop. With a dairy next door making cheese, this is a lovely diversion. Service was the best we encountered. " More >
