The decor was something different, I loved it. The bed was large and very comfortable and we had a brilliant sleep. The room was equipped with TV and was set with cookies and chocolate for our arrival. Breakfast was equally as special as the place, too much for us but highly recommended. The Owners are helpful and friendly and seemed genuinely keen to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. The best thing, in my opinion, about Ultreia is the atmosphere that they create. The hotel is small just 11 rooms and so tastefully restored (originally a school!) original wooden beams in our bedroom and beautiful stone walls throughout. Lovely garden with loungers for relaxing. The house has solar energy and is completely self-sufficient with under floor heating etc. The owners Monica and Alex are attentive and acted as welcoming hosts making us feel very much at home and gave recommendations of where to visit in the area which is scenic and unspoilt (rather like the West of Ireland where we come from!!!). The breakfasts were great fruity Greek yoghurt compotes, fresh bread and local Spanish ham. cheese, honey, grapes. sweet cakes a different mixture for each of our 3 day visit.
