  "Lovely weekend despite snow and very cold weather. Some staff (including manager) failed to get in but had a great weekend. Really nice old inn with great food and lovely atmosphere.   "We spent 2 nights in the Fairholm Suite, lovely room with a massive bed, nice bathroom with an excellent power shower, oh and how could i forget the complementary sherry, nice little touch... Downstairs is a very charming, with a good selection of real ales, there was a very nice porter that I foun..."d very moorish. The breakfast were of a very high standard, and I do think I'm a very good judge of a quality breakfast, and it was upto my standard, very large so if your of the smaller appetite like my good lady, don't be afraid to ask for a smaller portion...We ate in the restaurant on both night and yet again I wasn't disappointed by the quality or the size of the portions, a fantastic starter of crispy duck in a raspberry and orange salad, followed by a chump of Welsh lamb on a bed of cabbage and bacon with garlic mash and a mix of 2 wonderful sauces.....No room for pudding...
