  "afther last year's perfect weekend at the auberge we spent a week this year in july. Expectations were very high and we were a bit let down... The hotel itself,the scenery and service were still the same,very good. The breakfast was dissapointing.Last year we got home made yoghurt,big croissants,..."pain au chocolat and every day they asked us how we would like them to cook our eggs.This breakfast made them stand out from other ordinary hotels. Tis year breakfast was: industrial yoghurt,2 normal size croissants and 1 pain au chocolat for 2 people.toasted bread from the day before and no more eggs.A bit ordinary... Dinner was still very good but lacked a bit imagination and portions were too big...The chef produced some very good exciting food last year but this time around it was a bit boring. Last year, i couldn't wait to go back. Now, it's more like: if we are in the neighbourhood again,we'll drop by... A bit dissapointing... " More >

  "I stayed here in August 2012 for two nights with my sister and four teenage/young adult children.The auberge was a perfect place to relax and be looked after for a few days before we moved onto self-catering accommodation in Chamonix for the rest of our holiday. The food and wine were superb and very reasonably priced - we didn't bother going anywhere else after the first evening meal. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Honestly, it was the best run small hotel I've ever been to. It's close enough to Geneva airport to be able to great place for a long weekend of alpine air from the UK. The beaches of Evian les Bains are just a short drive away. The highlight of our outings was a walk recommended by the owners that lasted about an hour.
