The room (204) was spacious enough for my purpose of stay (sleep and relax). The room and bathroom were clean and were cleaned daily. I do have to admit that it took me a few nights to get use to the small and hard beds, but this says more about me being spoiled than that the bed was not good. I was particular pleasantly surprised about the excellent and warm service of both the staff and owners.   "My wife and I stayed at Vista Mar last September and had a really nice stay. The cottage is so cute and cozy and what a location on a hill overlooking the sea. The village of Almoxarife is just down the hill and there some really delicious restaurants there and a couple of cute cafes to drink cof..."fee or have a beer and watch the beautiful ocean. The seafood is fresh and Azorian cooking delicious. The beach is probably the best on Faial and quite popular on weekends. It is lovely, sand is darker like most in the Azores. We did have a few bad days of weather thanks to a hurricane brewing in the Azores, but that was unusual for what I was told. The cottage is perfect for a couple. You can sit on the front porch and have evening cocktails and enjoy the amazing view. There is wireless throughout the village and you can sit at the playground and get your e-mails. There are some people who expect 5-star services from tur-class hotels, it's a great mistake. This family ..."hotel suites all my expectations - I got everything I wanted - hot shower, warm bed, private balkony, TV with some musical channels, tea and coffee during all day and the most important thing - care of very friendly and nice hotel staff!!!
