The town of Drumshambo is a few minutes walk from Lough Allen & has plenty of bars & eateries to keep a thirsty fisherman happy!.   "WOW. Fantastic break. For years we have looked at this facility and admired the setup. Rent a house complete with small cruiser on the Shannon. The manageress (Madge) was very friendly and efficient with me on the phone. We spent the May bank holiday weekend 2013 there. We were a party of 6 adults. ..."The house was very spacious. 3 bedrooms (2 twins & a double) The kitchen was complete with all mod cons (yes - even a dishwasher). Bedrooms were fine size, particularly the double complete with ensuite. We were given full instruction by the boatman (Michael) on the cruiser before we set off on our cruiser. The boat is very easy to handle and comes with a nice size enclosed cabin, just in case the weather changes. Pure magic to be cruising the mighty River Shannon. I'm a bit fussy, but I can honestly say that I could not fault this facility at all. Would I go back? Don't be silly, I'm just looking for the next opportunity to pick up the phone to make a reservation. " More >
