  "Stayed 3 nights at the Mauna Lani with my husband and 8-month old daughter. Check-in process was nice. Like others have said, we were presented with shell leis. (They even gave one to the baby!) They were are all set up for us with a crib already in the room. Room was very spacious and even had ..."a tiny fridge. We splurged for the ocean view and we did have a pretty good one, although it was around the corner a bit. The one thing that I found lacking in the room was the bed comfort. It seemed a bit hard and I could feel the springs. (I have a top of the line Tempur Pedic at home, so I may be spoiled.) The hotel pool is very nice, although it did tend to get a little busy. The two on-site beaches were beautiful and very calm - I felt perfectly taking my baby into the water. The hotel has snorkeling gear to lend for free, as well as boogie boards.   "Stayed at Hapuna for4nights. On arrival there was a gorgeous view of the ocean. While the hotel was decent my experience was mixed. I stayed in a suite on the ground floor. Also the furthest possible room and it had bugs so on second day so I was moved to another room one level up without any probl..."ems and much closer to the pool. The staff was hit or miss. Some were very friendly and others should not work in the hotel industry. The breakfast buffet was very good but someone has to stay at the table to guard the food from the birds. A car is a must staying at the resort. There are limited restaurant options. The beach is amazing and the pool is very nice and big. The beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend it. However I would ask specifically not to be on the ground floor. Also there is a lot of walking so if that is an issue you may want to consider elsewhere. There are some need for updates it the rooms but who really spends a lot of time in the room any... " More >
