  "Stayed here two nights in early October 2012, no problem just turning up and had lakes side position - just lovely looking out across the lake. If busier there was a second row and in summer lots more space. Shower block all good and shop and office across the road. Touring part of site is lake side..." much of the rest is across the road and up the hill. We noticed a a tunnel under the road but never needed it as the road was quiet. Great locaation form which to visit Orta San Giulio - just do it, absolutely amazingly beautiful place - two days ideal minimum. We also walked up the hill and took the train into Milan for the day, 2 hours from here with one change, enjoyable trip and Milan easy to see Duomo and shopping in a day, one tube ride from train station. Campsite lady kindly let us leave motorhome behind there office that day FOC as we were off in the evening. " More >

  "A fantastic hotel directly to the lake, nice room with sea-view, fantastic restaurant. Quiet, friendly, perfect. Maybe not the best choice for families with children, but perfect for 2. Within 2 hours you can reach Lago Maggiore, Lago di Como, Valle d'Aosta and Alba by car."

  "I booked this hotel last minute while travelling to Italy with my mother and young son to look for a wedding venue . After looking on trip advisor first i decided to come to the giardinetto above some of the other 4 * hotels in the area because of the good reviews ! When I booked the hotel I had ..."planned to visit a few local restraunts in order to find a venue and had not even considered the giardinetto as a possible venue as I did not know they did weddings here. While in orta we visited numerous locations to find a possible wedding location but for me personally none even came close to the beautiful food and stunning location as well as good value for money . The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome . The food was wonderful and would deffinetley say it was more of a 4* restraunt standard then a 3 . And how can we forget the beautiful gazebo in which the outdoor restaraunt is set overlooking the lake, so beautifully romantic . The rooms are of a good standar... " More >
