  "We changed our plans and spent a night in Westport. This is not a tourist destination and that is what we liked about it. Our B&B at first felt a little uncomfortable because we felt like we were going to lack privacy and perhaps be a little imposing. This turned out for us to be a very pleasant ..."visit with the owners Ian & Jan. The room and bath were very nice and the breakfast was a treat. Jan provided some very good muffins for our trip when we left and they were wonderful. They have been doing this for a long time so they know what it takes to make you comfortable. This is an interesting town and we had a very good restaurant experience thanks to our B&B. The only negative item I can come up with is not with the B&B but rather the fact that this area burns a lot of coal for heat and the smell during the night did not appeal to our noses. So, if you want a little variety during your NZ travels try Westport and especially this B&B. " More >
