At the end of the day, The Haflinger Haus was a perfect stopping point, where we could enjoy a glass of wine, spacious accomodations, and a delicous Austrian Octoberfest dinner. The morning's continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise: meats, cheeses, fruits, pastry, etc. I would definitely return to the Haflinger Haus. The owner and staff were exceptionally accommodating, and I enjoyed the historic ambiance of the inn.   "There WAS room for us in the inn! A group of 12 of us drove up to Mount Greylock Inn, from New York City, at the end of November. We had an incredible experience! The beautiful and historical Inn was warm, cozy, clean and gorgeously decorated for Christmas. The innkeeper Joseph couldn't have tak..."en better care of us. He was beyond friendly, gave spot-on advice, made reservations for us, and also lent us his discount card for the local grocery store! (I even suspect that he called in the spectacular snow that greeted us on the first morning we awoke in the Inn). The breakfast each morning was delicious and plentiful, and the kitchen was perfect for our own lunch/dinner cooking use. The rooms were each unique and the beds were comfy. A bargain! Plenty to do in Adams.. we did a morning hike in the snow (lots of hike options), visited Mass Moca, which is not to be missed, and checked out the local restaurants that Joseph recommended. The main reason you should stay here is to experience the hard work and hospitality of the manager Joseph. He couldn't have been more welcoming, professional and hospitable. The morning breakfasts were a delight, his insights to the local area and its eateries were faultless, and his general demeanor made us feel as if we were the first people to ever stay at the inn.
