  "First of all, I am so grateful for my friend listing this on her wedding invitation as an option to stay at, even though she was getting married in Hadley (about a 30 minute drive away)! I absolutely loved it. I met both Ann (the inn keeper) and her husband. Ann offered to pick me up from the Amtra..."k station and brought me to the Inn. She was so friendly and accomodating and was just extremely warm and genuine. I stayed in the Ivy Room, which had 2 full sized beds in it (I only needed one, but it was nice to have such a big room). The price was exceptional-in fact, it was cheaper than the other 6 options, including Econolodge and others in Northampton. (It was also about a 5 minute walk to the center of Amherst, where there was a big farmers market going on and many people walking around, laying on the grass, or shopping).   "Booked a room for 1 night as my daughter was in a dance competition the next morning nearby and due to several colleges in the area graduating hotel choices at an affordable rate were hard to find. Was a little Leary of booking something right on campus. Found it a little awkward to have to walk thr..."ough the campus center to get to the front desk from the bottom level garage but was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff. There is no pool which I knew of when booking but the sites of the mountains and foliage was nice. The breakfast is very basic, I choose this hotel over a Quality Inn in Chicopee due to reviews and while the hotel was nice it wasn't what I expected after reading all the reviews. The bathroom is well done but very small, the rooms are clean but no fridge. . My daughter did like the cookies at check in and the Kuerig was nice in the morning. One small thing room was a bit noisy from the ac unit to the creeks (honestly don't know what the noises were coming from). Ov... " More >
