We got a Regency Cub room, which was twice the lowest price but the free cocktails, late checkout and service made the expense well worth it. The highlight for us were the free cocktails from 5-7pm in the gardens..." with gentle live music, free flow drinks and tropical gardens full of atmosphere but free of Mosquitos. Large monitor lizards, wild fowl and squirrels roam free (no feeding allowed) over perfectly manicured lawns. Service is on a par with the best we have sampled in Bali - staff have excellent language skills and a knack for pleasing you. The beach is good for swimming and sun bathing and free of hawkers although there is some sort of public footpath that runs across it.   "Well if you are going to travel half the way around the World this is the kind of place you want to end up in . So many hotels do themselves more than justice with their website photos but in reality they don't live up to the image but this hotel does and more . The grounds are simply beautiful..." manicured to perfection with quirky statues and water features everywhere . From the hellhole that is Denpasar airport to arrive here and be given a cold fragrant towel and fruit "mocktail" and to deal with polite happy graceful staff is heaven ,The staff were a delight from start to finish . There was some building work going on but this is all screened off and in our garden view room there was no noise and the hotel gave us a three course pick of the menu meal to make up for an inconvenience we hardly felt . The three pools are all different in character and we usually sat by our garden pool going in to cool off swam at the middle jacuzzi pool which was bigger and usually empty... " More >
