The breakfast buffet was so yummy and had many different food and fruit choices and also cook to order waffles and omlettes. The infinity pool is the largest I have ever seen and was unique in the fact that the whole pool was only 4 feet deep.   "We fell in love with Costa Rica and this resort on our first trip so we had to return. We stayed 8 days in the resort in an ocean front room. The sunset view from our patio was amazing. As expected, the resort and rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The staff is so warm and welcoming. ..."This trip we tried one of the excursions that you can book thru the hotel. We did the guided river tour and it was amazing. If you love wildlife, you will enjoy this trip. The guides are very knowledgeable and super fun. It's an all day adventure that includes lunch cooked by some local women at the boat dock. There were two days where the hotel did not have electricity during the day while they restructured their grid system but we were given notice and just made plans to be out all day. The golf course was fantastic. Lot's of water so bring plenty of balls unless you would like to meet a crocodile ;) The spa was wonderful, the massage room is open to the outside and it started ...   "Overall this was a very nice trip. I have to call out all of you reviewers that made such a big deal about the dirt road to get to the hotel. It was really not bad at all. It was maybe 10 minutes and that was driving very slow. Please do not worry about this if you are planning your trip here. ..." Resort - Very beautiful with lots of room to move around. Pool was awesome. It was huge and had plenty of lounge chairs. The most popular were at the end of the pool nearest to the beach. Go and put your towels out early to reserve yours. The service at the pool was hit or miss. Some days good... some days very slow. Over (don't pronounce the "v") was the best waiter we had for the entire week. He was always smiling and eager to get you whatever we wanted. There is an Iguana named Margarita that lives by the pool at the Azul Grill. Be sure and get a picture of her.
