The sheets and pillow were exquisite. He held tea in the sitting room at 4pm, equipped with a beautiful fire. But the best part was the array of snacks, cheese, salami, nuts, cookies and macaroons to name just a few! We sat there and read his books and magazines for a few hours and chatted with him. He suggested the local restaurants and there were a few! We had dinner at the Kingsley( kent alum, delish) and a night cap at the fife and drum (loved it here, ate light lunch there!) The room had an amazi..."ng giant king size bed, a beautiful large bathroom with a large claw bathtub and candle lit fireplaces to create a wonderful romantic atmosphere. Not only did it have an old world charm with original wood flooring but all the modern amenities were there as well (wifi tv ect.) As I was making the reservation I had mentioned that it was our four year anniversary and asked him for a local florist. What I did not expect is that when we arrived to our room there was a pro bono bottle of Prosecco chilled and waiting for us. Such a sweet gesture!
