  "20 some people from our local club stayed here for 4 nights. Rented the pontoon boats and had a great time. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Their master gardener does a fantastic job keeping the grounds in great shape. There is abundant wildlife including some overly friendly squirrels and many ..."flitting hummingbirds. The boats were in good shape and we had no problems. This area of the St. Johns river is just like stepping back in time to a Florida before people. Our only disappointment was the pool was too cold for our southern skin although many of the other guests seemed to enjoy it. " More >

  "Amazing Stay Which Exceeded Our Expectations"
  "My Wife and I stayed 3 nights at the resort and found all aspects of the experience above our expectations. Room size, room view and room cleanliness were all excellent. We went on their Island Boat Cruise which was very clean and safe and so informative. We then rented one of their pontoon boats ..."for a full day and even though the boat was not new, it was clean as a whistle and all equipment worked well. The upgraded motor also was so miserly on fuel even though we cruised most of the day. The grounds were beautiful and the staff was also friendly and so helpful. We will return soon. " More >

The rooms have not been updated, but it was clean, spacious, and the king bed was comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with full refrigerator and all the items necessary for an extend..."ed stay. The pool area was clean, refreshing, and comfortable. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed a sunset by the lake and watched as the fishermen came in with their catch. My husband caught a large mouth bass right off the marina wall. We also enjoyed Blue Springs State Park, Hontoon Island State Park and a delicious lunch at Casey's on the Corner in downtown Deland.
