  "This Fairfield Inn by Marriott is a very good hotel with something not all similarly priced hotels have: a very helpful staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was helpful, friendly and eager to please. It's nice to get a "good morning" or "afternoon" with a natural (not force..."d) smile from everyone on the staff with whom you have anything to do or just pass in the hallway. For example, one of the front desk staff (young African-American male, sorry we forgot his name!) was happy to help us select a good restaurant. We had been traveling and wanted something more than the usual chains (there is a Dunkin Donut and Bob Evans very close by, but...). He gave us a list, with his personal favorites, and detailed driving instructions beyond the guidance on the hotel's list. It worked out perfectly for us! The hotel is not actually in Tampa, but it is so close to the interstate and the toll road to the airport, that it is almost an airport hotel without the jet noise. ... " More >

  "an outstanding experience. at check in I was asked if our stay was due to a medical appointment. when I said it was, she offered a hospital rate much lower than our reservation. what a nice surprise. our room was clean and everything was in order. a nice touch was a wine, beer, and nibble session fr..."om 4 to 6. it included cheesecake servings. food was nearby and within walking distance. its location 3 miles from moffitt cancer center, our doctor appointment makes this our choice in the future. I think I bring knowledge and judgement to my review. when I worked, I traveled full time and spent an average of 3 to 4nights a week in hotels across 20 states for 25 years. I don't normally respond to requests for reviews, but since this property was exceptional, I made an exception. " More >

  "good choice for stay when visiting Busch Gardens"
  "The room was decent and overall the place was good. A tad dated maybe, and the halls were not brightly lit, kind of dim. Great location for busch gardens and they offer shuttles so you don't have to worry about parking. The pool was not heated and the water was freezing when we went in December! ..." Service was good, free internet on computers in the lobby was handy... The free breakfast was great. Cooked to order and a buffet. Overall, I would give this 4 stars based on its location and the amenities you get for the price... Definitely a good choice for families visiting the park,e specially if you get the free breakfast - you can fill up before you head out to ride the awesome coasters! " More >
