You have to take a full flight of stairs down to get to the unit so it is definitely not handicap accessible. We were there when the wind was strong so the sound of the waves was always present and very soothing even though we had to keep the windows closed because it was cold. Our unit had a wonderful king bed that was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a double head shower. There were plenty of towels which was good as you have to call for your room to be cleaned as they respect your privacy. The room was large with two rocking chairs and a very small table.   "We have visited Surfside 4 times in the last four years and have not been disappointed yet. The ambiance of the Master Suite is wonderful. The decor makes it look brand new each time we arrive. Our rooms have always been spotlessly clean and the staff are all very kind and helpful. The grounds a..."re also neat and clean. There is a small kitchen with refrigerator, microwave and sink with enough dishes and silverware for two people. We brought our own breakfast and lunch which we ate sitting on our patio watching the lake and the birds. I can't say enough about the whirlpool and fireplace! Sitting around a campfire which a staff person builds for us in the evening is mesmerizing. We will be back - again and again and again! " More >
