The light breakfast in the morning was filling and very good. Check in early afternoon and then take an evening drive out to the Lamar Valley for the best chance to see both Grizzlies and Black bear.   "My brother and I stayed a week at Cowboy's Lodge. We had seperate bedrooms a comfortable living and dining room, a full kitchen and complete bathroom. Very clean and could not get this type of room and hospitality at other places in and around Yellowstone for the price. Eventhough there is a newly o..."pened restaurent nearby, closed windows keeps out any noise. We cooked breakfast in and eat supper at the restaurant. The food is excellent and you will not leave the table hungrey. All of the bar-b-cue is cooked on site and cannot recommend which is the best as all were excellent, however, the brisket melts in your mouth and is the best brisket I have ever had! Parking is off street and all of the rooms are fenced in with a very nice patio and tables for each room. Very private and opportunity to meet other guests and to socialize.
