  "My boyfriend and I had never been to a bed and breakfast before. We have absoluetly fallen in love with the entire experience... Mike was warm and welcoming as we arrived, truly hospitable! He gave us a tour of the inn (don't miss the chocolate chip cookies in the dining room, they are FANTASTIC!) ..."Our room was beautiful, the tub was gigantic and the I just melted into the bed. Breakfast is memorable, do NOT pass up Mikes grits, my family is from the south and these are some of the best damn grits I have EVER had, period. The fruit, yogurt and granola parfaits are really good as were the scones and cinnamon wheels. We booked a couples massage which was downstairs in the wellness room, my boyfriends first massage, now he is addicted :) the therapists were professional and had wonderful touch, we got the aromatherapy and recommend it, the earthy orange scent was lovely.   "We loved the Inn. It is decorated very nicely and well appointed. Loved the mugs and serving pieces. Charming, spotless, friendly, great food and plenty of it. Loved the simple breakfast starters every morning:sweet yogurt with crunchy granola and fresh fruit and then the main dish(es) follow. Plen..."ty to eat, and very varied, plus the snacks under lid we found. Like the mini nature trail.Two regrets: the bed was a bit firm from what I'm used to, but you know, I believe my back rather enjoyed it. Second regret: we had to leave.The pub looked inviting and cozy. Must be particularly nice in winter. Mike is a great host, pleasant and helpful... and a great cook. Definitely coming back. We have stayed in the White Mountain area dozens of times over the years, but never at the Bernerhof. Highly recommend it and we will hopefully return to the area most likely this fall.
