  "Decided to attend a race weekend at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown, NY 5/18-19/13. By the time I made reservations the price of many hotels in the area had gone up considerably. Some motels/hotels in the area have poor reviews. I was attracted to this one since the reviews were good...." The place was clean and orderly. The room and facility looked renovated. Check-in was easy...the people at the front desk were personable and accommodating. The TV (I think Time Warner) had a zillion channels...nice HiDef flat screen TV. The breakfast 6AM-9AM was great. Lots of eggs, bacon, sausage, bagels, orange juice, coffee, cereal. Breakfast was a bonus on top of the reasonable room charge. Next time I visit I will probably stay here. It is only about 10-15 minutes from Middletown. I like this area since it is somewhat rural. Convenient: Gas, food (e.g. McDonalds, Subway...etc). I am not into shopping but the Galleria at Crystal Run Mall is a very short run...even saw a mov... " More >
