Bad name but good, really reasonably priced food served by a sprightly waitress named Meghan. No Trip Advisor listing for this restaurant, so it gets a plug here. The breakfast room and assortment (including hot cinnamon rolls) was excellent at the Holiday Inn Express. We were on the road for a week and this was the nicest motel of the lot, superior to Best Westerns and Comfort Suites. My only complaint is a personal taste one--I dislike duvets and this seems to be the "thing" to have. Just give me a sheet and a blanket. " More >

  "Located right off of US-74 in Forest City, NC, the HIE was a great experience. I arrived a little late but was greeted by a friendly person at the front desk. The room was HUGH, clean, and nice to stay in. Fast food and chain restaurants are within a couple of miles with a Sonic beside the hotel. ..." My only complaint is that all of the cable TV stations are in not high definition...some channel were really poor quality. This needs to be upgraded... Other than this one little matter, you cant go wrong staying here while visiting Forest City or Rutherfordton. " More >
