  "My husband and I stayed here the first week of April for our 5 year wedding anniversary. We just moved to D.C. and this was our first east coast vacation. The place was nice. I was a bit upset that our "ocean view" was not at all. Also, wish we could have been on the second floor since there wer..."e only 3 other rooms taken that week. The weather wasn't that great so that was a bummer. But the hotel/condo was nice. Comfy and spacious for us since we live in a tiny studio. Nice having a kitchen too. Brought our own wine and snacks which helped us save money and have nicer dinners. Overall a good place to stay in the off season for the price. I did leave something very important in the room and drove back a half hour for it. Took a bit to find the cleaning guy to let us in, but overall glad it was still there. " More >

  "Met my expectations I would recommend"
  "We spent a week at this property. We stayed in a 1 BR sound view on the first floor rm 120. There was a king bed, and a pullout couch. The kitchen has a fridge and a microwave that doubles as a convection oven we only used the microwave for heating water. The unit was nice it met our needs. Next..." door there are shops a 1 minute walk as well as the ferry to Ocracoke. The pool was nice, on a windy day it is a good option, the way it is situated it blocks the wind. The beach is right across the street, 4 minute walk. There are not a lot of eating choices in the area, we ate mostly at Harbour House seafood market, they prepare the food for you to go and we ate in our room or at the Marina next door where the shops are, the food there is outstanding. A few tips Take in the sunset at the marina, it is amazing Groceries.. Stop at the Food Lion in Avon on your way down, it is about 20 miles away. there is a small grocery in town, the red and white, but you will get better proce... " More >
