  "My husband and I ate lunch at the Sonesta today for the first time since it reopened. The Seacrest is their primary luncheon venue, although you can also eat at the poolside bar, Bailey's, (the inside bar in the lobby - I DO love their lobby) or, I was told, overflow can go into Haywood's, althoug..."h that is primarily for breakfast and dinner. Seacrest is patio or porch seating; you can sit directly outside at tables with umbrellas or in a relaxed comfy chair and coffee table type seating or, as we chose, a fresh air high top table just off the patio. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Their menu is somewhat limited; about a half dozen or so salads and sandwiches and some soup and small plate selections. We both had clam chowder and sandwiches and they were tasty, Prices are slightly higher than many restaurants on the island, but in line with typical hotel values.   "This is our 4th visit to this hotel. Before this, it was a Hilton Hotel. They are renovating and are not done yet, but the work didn't interfer with our fun and they kept the things we liked the best."

  "Our stay here was fantastic! The new remodeling is amazing and every single person on the staff was bouth courteous and helpful. Our delux Queen suite had a great view of the beautiful pool and garden, which was not yet open when we stayed, a very spa-like bathroom, and a keurig! The beach is only a..." hop, skip and a jump away from the resort, and even through the construction it was super easy to get there, and if a 2 minute walk was too much for you they offered a complementary shuttle service to get you there. We stopped at the beautiful new bar and had a couple very satisfying drinks. We also booked some time at the brand new spa to have manicures. The concierge offered us great suggestions and helped us book a kayaking adventure, which was a lot of fun! Overall an amazing girls weeked. I would go back to this resort in a hearbeat! " More >
