  "This is not a new ultra modern hotel. It is a beautiful, gracious, resort in a quiet location only 10 minutes away from Historic/Downtown Charleston. The rooms are not large, but nicely decorated (think Laura Ashely). Within walking distance is a golf course, restaurants,and the carrier USS York..."town. There are several fine restaurants in Mount Pleasant. Our room had a harbor view looking out towards Fort Sumter. Some rooms have balconies. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a free "trolley" to Charleston. Free parking. Negatives: $12/day resort fee, no refrigerator. We got a Priceline deal. We would stay there again full price.   "Great location next to Patriots Point, which was the reason for our stay. I've been debating over what to write for this review. There were some positives and negatives but overall I gave it a 4, mainly because of the staff. We did a 2 day sniqueaway deal for $124/night, king. As others have mention..."ed, the place needs some work. There are several other places in the area but, this hotel has a great location. I called ahead to verify my reservation, and ask for a free upgrade and when we checked in we got the water view, no balcony. The breakfast was included, did I mention the staff were VERY friendly. The trolley and internet were an add-on for $7/day, don't think you could decline it.. We took the trolley to downtown both days and be warned it only holds 14 people, some guests had to wait 2 hours until the next one.. Beds were very comfortable, room was clean, had a ceiling fan, you may have to play with the A/C, it can make some odd noises. BRIGHT YELLOW decor. " More >
