Thus the food is OK - but not lovingly prepared and presented. There is no opportunity to mix with other travelers over breakfast. Otherwise, it is a splendid location and a wonderful place to either sit out or go for a great Hill Country hike on the ranch. It is so close to Luckenbach and their great music!   "We stayed at Paniolo Ranch this past weekend for Mother's Day with all the girls in our family. We had an absolutely wonderful time! This property is so beautiful and so relaxing. Exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were so clean and so nice. We stayed in the Spa House and Lanai Suite. Slept..." all 8 of us very comfortably. I've seen many complaints about the breakfast, but it was absolutely perfect for us. None of us like a very heavy breakfast anyways, so we loved getting up on our own time and gathering in one room to eat together. It was perfect. We all had spa services and everyone loved their service. For me personally, it was the best massage I had ever had. It was me and my mother together in the same room, which made it even more perfect for Mother's Day. The ranch is a little ways out of town, but knowing that ahead of time, we brought tons of snacks and drinks. We found that the staff was very responsive and very friendly.
