  "This is a extremely clean hotel with a great view. We were not disappointed in the "next to the gulf" views of the rooms nor in the gathering areas at the end of the complex of rooms. The staff was friendly and nice and pointed out several places to eat. We opted for the eatery next door. The fo..."od that evening was good. We had fish, shrimp, chicken and chicken tacos and all were tasty. We opted to eat there the next morning and that was a mistake. The place opens at 800 and we were the second to be seated at 805. We didn't get our food until almost 900 and it was cold. The wait staff was overwhelmed and did not provide knives or forks. We had to hunt those down. They took our drink cups to get refills and never brought them back. Very nice hotel, but I would go elsewhere for breakfast. " More >

  "maybee just a few miles south of tons of industry but thats just it. its all behind you. texas coast if full of this type of industry. better there than right in front of you. the village is very nice. great rooms, surf sound and views from your deck. when i was there the wind was howling out o..."f the east. got a room on the oppisite side. was just heaven to hear the pounding surf without the wind in our face. town is small and sleepy, perfect getaway. beach is no more than stone through. and you can even build a bomb fire on it. great ride to the east twords galvaston toll bridge. at the bridge great place drive on the sand, fish and build a camp fire and stay all night.
