What worked: The price $69 per night The owners (husband, wife, 6 kids) were exceptionally nice. We got great suggestions and their time answering all our questions. The bed..."s were comfortable, the room large and very, very clean. Fridge in the room What didn't work: 2 sub par microwaves in the hallway. I like to make my own instant coffee first thing in the morning and I'm not excited about having to get dressed and go into the hallway to use the microwave. shower was not very strong although the hot water was wonderful. Only one small waste basket in the room You might want to know Breakfast (I bring my own) is provided in store (toast, coffee, tea) Groceries are available in store but expensive No restaurants in Cannonville but there is a great coffee shop and some restaurants in nearby Tropic " More >

  "I'been burned so many times by aluen own/operated run-down dumps advertised as "recently remodeled" by new owners that I expected the worst when Husband said "hey, look, this place has an inroom Jacuzzi tub at no extra cost and it's all new!" I wasn't buying it but he booked it anyway. The outsid..."e of this place looks a little scary. There was scaffolding around the third floor of the three story outdoor stairway on one end. But the stairway on the other end was obviouly new-build. Entry/Exit doors had no locks - not even latches to keep the doors closed at each end (not a large hotel.) There's a mini market on main floor which is also hotel office. They also have gas pumps on site, an added bonus. Contintal breakfast consists of white or wheat toast, butter, jam, and coffee or tea. But one may purchase breakfast sandwiches, etc. And microwave in store or own room. Also offering of lunch and dinner items and all at fmv. NOW for the room i feared would be awful.
