  "This was an amazing place to stay! Easy check-in and we went to our cabin #24 which was conveniently located with easy access to the beach and had ocean view. We walked at low tide and not only had the beach to ourselves but got to save sea stars that were stranded on the sand! There is not really any choice except their restaurant which was good but not excellent. I had the salmon even though some said to skip it. They were right. For $29 it was a small portion and very dry. My kids had the salmon burger and I must say that was really tasty! We would definitely stay here again if we are back to this area! " More >

  "After reading multiple reviews on Kalaloch Lodge, my husband and I decided to stay in the main lodge. I cannot stress this strongly enough: DEFINITELY request a 2nd floor room with an ocean view. The views from our bedroom were stunning. I've never birded, or viewed wildlife from my hotel bed, so th..."is was a novel experience! We saw bald eagles, various ducks, kingfishers, and even an otter right from our room! And seeing the huge logs of driftwood washed up in the bay was amazing. Don't come here expecting TV or cell phone reception: this is a vacation where you can be blissfully disconnected for a few days, and see some gorgeous wild, rugged seascapes. We drove up from Portland, stopping at the Kalaloch Lodge for lunch, visited Ruby Beach, and then walked the Hall of Mosses at the Hoh Rainforest. No one is present at the desk, but the response to the phone call announcing our arrival was quick, and the lady that checked us in was pleasant and friendly. There is really only a burger joint in the area for food, and having scoped the options in Forks on the way in, we already knew that would be our dinner for the evening. It will never be something that draws Guy Fieri and DDD, but it was okay. Don't order the fish and chips - two small pieces for $15. Order the halibut sandwich at half the price and get the same amount of fish. The fries are good if you like the McDonald's style. Shakes were decent.
