This Inn is by far my first choice when visiting ilwaco or the Peninsula area, you just can't go wrong staying here. I've known many of ..."the Inn keepers over the years and Doreen is as welcoming as any. There is one change and that is she will not let you check in before 4pm, so keep this in mind. I for one like to check in, unpack, and relax for a little after the drive, so I was surprised and a bit disappointed to find this change, but as long as you know ahead of time. A perfect place for a solo traveler or couple, I don't see this as a place children would be happy staying. " More >

  "I have been eyeing this place for some time, and when I saw a living social coupon for a two night stay, I jumped on it. It is in a remote little bay by itself although it is pretty close to the fishing town of Ilwaco. We were there on a weekend where there was only one other couple who kept t..."o themselves, so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves the whole time. The downstairs suite was lovely, clean, and tastefully decorated with its own sitting room and a great big two person spa tub. The living room has a wall of windows looking out on the gorgeous, serene bay. It was warm the weekend we were there, so we actually got to sit on the deck; in fact, I got a little sunburned. You have to drive to Seaview to the Shelburne Inn a few mile away for breakfast, but it was totally worth it. My boyfriend LOVED the food, and he can be pretty picky.
