Many interesting shops to browse through, a well stocked grocery store within range, and that doesn't even mention the scene, which is right on the channel with great waterfront views and several nice places to get down to the water's edge and see some boats, birds and people.   "The Channel Lodge is likely the nicest place in La Conner. It's located on the main street and just steps away from the shops and art galleries. I had made reservations and there were no difficulties checking in. There were fresh cookies and coffee in the lobby. The room was small, but nice (que..."en size bed). The rate was $149 plus taxes. There was a small porch overlooking the channel and two beach chairs to utilize. The room was a bit stuffy/musty and that took getting use too. Also, the bed wasn't at all comfortable for me, but I understand that soft vs. hard is a matter of personal preference, so I can't really complain. There was a very nie complimentary breakfast with assorted fruits, juices, pastries, cheese etc. " More >

  "I have stayed at this property at least 6 times over the last 7 years. On each trip, it is for a business retreat with my peers. After each trip I tell my wife that I have to take her back up to the beautiful property for a get-a-way, but never seem to make it happen. I'm telling you this, YOU ne..."ed to stay at this property. It is outstanding for our business needs, providing ample conference room space and tending to all of our needs when asked...But I think what it does for the business traveler could only be magnified more for a romantic weekend or get-a-way. The rooms, although small are charming, have a nice balcony with view of the channel. They also include gas fire place, comfortable queen size bed, sitting chair, desk and decent size bathroom. The property provides an amazing continental breakfast and has outstanding customer service. If you have not visited La Conner you should do so. And if you do, YOU should stay here!
