I cannot say enough great things about them. They are the most accomodating & friendly people I have encountered, staying at an..."y motel...anywhere. The rooms are nothing fancy, but they are clean & cozy. The location of the motel is perfect if you plan on a relaxing, slow-paced stay. There are multiple restaurants & two ice cream shops within walking distance, the Blue Ox bar & grill directly across the street, and even a small grocery store a few blocks away. There are many beach chairs provided for sitting & listening to the waves. The ONLY downside I've found is that there is no sand beyond the beach. We tried swimming in the lake in front of the motel & couldn't get out far enough to pass the rocks that were hurting our feet from walking on them. The Inn is on the "Quiet Side" of the Door County Peninsula in Wisconsin. It is a short drive over to the other side (10 minutes) where the "action" is, but Baileys Harbour is serene and peaceful. The birds outside your window are amazing, and the view of the Harbour is exquisite. Blacksmith Inn, if you want a quiet, romantic time, with shopping close by in Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Sister Bay, you can't miss with this one! " More >
