The B&B was not the reason for the visit, rather we chose Yorktown to learn about where America proved it mettle and established beyond doubt that our declaration independence was more than words. The National Park Service has done an exceptional job laying out the battlefield.   "When I read the reviews for the Hornsby House Inn, I was suspicious that they were all "Excellent". But, after staying there this past weekend, I am also rating the Hornsby House Inn as "Excellent". This beautiful, refurbished house is loaded with family heirlooms, and is very spacious with large po..."rches, comfortable sofas, and wood-burning fireplaces. The two owners, Dave & Phil, were very conscientious and eager to make our stay delightful. We especially enjoyed the big, delicious breakfasts, the 24-hour coffee, and the 5:00 pm wine and cheese events every afternoon. We brought our bikes and the owners were very accommodating in storing of our bike racks in an outside building when it rained. The Hornsby House Inn is in a perfect location, just across from the monument and with a view of the York River. It is convenient to downtown Yorktown, the Yorktown Visitors Center and Surrender Field. This is a do not miss B&B. " More >
