The lodge, grounds and facilities i.e. swimming pool. spa and sauna were clean and well maintained. There are lovely walks in the area and should you want travel further afield Portscatho is a delight, Truro market is fun and Charletown a place to spend a day exploring the Shipwreck Museum and harbour. • Roses Cottage
  "Lovely cottage, great location - a fantastic holiday"
  "I stayed at Roses Cottage with my husband and 2 young children. It is located just a 30 second walk behind the central square in Portscatho, and has the benefit of private parking spaces which those cottages in the square and Lugger just dont have. There decked terrance to the exterior is perfect ..."as the gate can be secured and the children can play safely - the french doors also open up so they can go in and out freely. Considering this is used as a holiday rental, the decor is in very good condition. Upstairs the bedrooms are laid out with doubles at either end of the house - the stairs and the third bedroom are in the centre. The third bedroom is more of a twin with third bunk bed over if needed. The bedrooms aren't massive but thats the way these houses were built and it all adds to the charm. The property has obviously been fully refurbished in the past and has all mod cons and appliances as you would expect. All in all we loved the cottage and couldn't fault it. One word ... " More >

  "We stayed at Pollaughan Farm with our two young children as part of our honeymoon, and it was the perfect family getaway. We stayed in Meadows cottage, which was large and spacious inside, with the added benefit of an enclosed garden for the kids to play in that overlooked the duck pond. Everyth..."ing we needed for a family holiday was supplied, such as a highchair, children's kitchenware, a variety of books and toys, and even a trampoline in the garden, all of which made for a happy and relaxing stay. As it was our honeymoon Tim and Valerie were even kind enough to leave a card and gift for us on arrival - a really thoughtful touch we greatly appreciated. Indeed we soon found that nothing was too much trouble. We had delicious homecooked meals delivered straight from the Aga to our doorstep on days when we didn't want to cook, and we were lent a child carrier backpack for days out rather than us have to carry our buggy on and off the ferry.
