The lodges are..." in close proximity (very short drive) to Estes' restaurants and shops, and also to the entrance of Rock Mountain National Park. The grounds at Blackhawk Lodges are clean and very well cared for. In fact one of the owners, Teresa who runs the property with her husband Randy, was painstakingly picking pine needles out of the resorts wood chip landscaping arrangement when we drove up. The resort has various sized cabins depending on your accommodation desires. We stayed in cabin 7 which was perfectly sized like a small apartment. Enjoyed the jacuzzi on several evenings. Bull elk got into the bird feeder outside our deck one morning.
