The entire experience felt like a throwback to the 1950s-not in terms of the rooms (which, though basic, are spotlessly clean and a TREMENDOUS value..." at $7) but in terms of the level of service and the refinement of the entire experience. Every need was taken care of (and you owe it to yourself to try at least a piece of cake in the lovely, shady courtyard) with a level of graciousness that one doesn't often see these days.
