  "We had a great stay there. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We even saw a sloth in the trees right outside the hostel! Only bad part was that there was some noise at night that made it hard to sleep."

The lodge was within walking distance from downtown Santa Elena, but I would recommend taking taxi if carrying luggage since road condition was not great and quite steep. Taxi was $2 from downtown. Over tea, Ernesto helped us book ziplining activit..."ies when we arrived and recommended restaurants in the area. Sabor Tico was just down the hill and had great food with friendly service.
