"My wife and I spent the night as a wedding anniversary treat and we weren't disappointed. We arrived in time for afternoon tea which was served in the library. The afternoon tea was excellent - lots of coffee, which was regularly replenished and outstanding food. I had the 'Gentleman's' afternoon te..."a and my better half the 'Champagne' afternoon tea. The room was excellent - spacious and well appointed, the only downside was that the room was set up for only one person - only one set of towels and one bathrobe and it took two phone calls for housekeeping to bring another set. Before you leave, ask a member of staff to give you a little tour including the chapel. They are more than happy to do so and have a wealth of information about the hall's history right up to its current plans for expansion - very interesting.
We paid a little extra to upgrade to a suite but on check-in we were allocated a much bigger suite with amazing views across the lake and rolling countryside complete with roaming deer. The bedrooms are in keeping with the rest of the building, complete with the highest ceilings, real fireplaces and antique...
