Fairly plain bar that could do with a spruce up. Bar staff excellent and very friendly. Food was decent. Small choice but tasty.
Booked a meal for two having popped in for a bar meal the day before. Turned up, to be told we have given the chef the night off. Not acceptable. Bad organisation especially as this is attached to the hotel Warkworth House Hotel. If you get the chance and book well in advance try the Post office bistro.
From the minute we walked in to the minute we left we were looked after. The food was very good and there was a nice choice. No, read excellent! Plenty to choose from on the menu, especially tasty desserts! Really good service from everyone and a very relaxing atmosphere. Much better option than any other restaurant in Warkworth.
Excellent menu with a choice to suit most people. We enjoyed a delicious meal and afterwards relaxed in the lounge. Staff were friendly and helpful. We liked it so much we went back the next evening.

The food was good as was the service. The ambience could be better as the restaurant just looks a little bright and stark. But worth a return visit!
Booking was essential as we found out on the Saturday when we couldnt get in but came back on the Sunday for a wonderful meal. Menu was varied and food was very good. Nothing was too much trouble with the chef willing to substitute certain ingredients for particular tastes. Excellent service and the wine was good as was the local... More
Have visited 6 or 7 times for Sunday lunch. Good value ,I think the mains are £7.95. Have enjoyed the pate, scampi and prawn cocktail starters as well as the beef, fish and pork mains. Nice place to visit after a walk on the beach.
We had pre-dinner drinks in the bar which was warm and welcoming, particularly on a cold spring day. We intended to eat in the restaurant one night and then try a local pub for evening meal the second night, however, the food in the restaurant was so good that we ate there both nights. I can highly recommend the halibut... More
