I'm devastated. I ate there many years ago and was going to take my family there for diner today (February 20, 2013), but they had a fire last night and the restaurant is gone (for now).

Visited at 430 pm and was surprised there was already a line formed. Perhaps because it was a weekend. The building has been there since the 1880s, and the architecture reflected that. My son and I had a wonderful lunch here. It was a short walk from Akihabara. The traditional interior is lovely and the staff were very attentive. The woman who sings the orders to the kitchen is a nice touch.

A local friend set a group of us up to have lunch here, and it was wonderful. The orders are indeed sung out, and the building itself is a beautiful reminder of Japan's not-too-distant past. Good soba, actually atmosphere is great including Okami san reading orders with high tone voices, soba itslef is so so
