We really enjoyed our meal at Inakaya. It was great fun and as well as the good food, there was the banter with the chef who was grilling our food. He kept our glasses topped up and entertained us whilst our food was cooking. You don't just pay for the food, you pay for the whole experience. For us, it... More

We were wandering late at night through Rippongi becoming increasingly intimidated by the large African gentlemen touting the local strip clubs when we stumbled in this place. No plastic food displays or English menus here. The Robatayki (BBQ) restaurant is a small place where you eat at a bar surrounding two chefs and a cornucopia of fresh fish, meat and... More

As others have said, we had a good time at Inakaya from the moment we walked in the door. Fantastic service and good (although not amazing) food. Definitely not cheap, though, so anyone on a budget may want to give this one a miss.

This place was recommended in LP and me and my fiancée decided to try out the place. The first thing that happened after entering the door was a big loud welcome cheering from all the staff members. We were seated and the excellent service lasted the entire evening. The food is placed just in front of you and you pick... More

Inakaya is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. If you are looking for a bargain, look elsewhere. If you want a mix of delicious food, great sake, fabulous service, and a dinner show, make your reservations now. All ingredients are fresh and prepared in front of you. The chefs and waiters make sure that all of your needs... More

Out of Tokyo's 100,000 plus restaurants, this must be one of the more unique ones. t is very easy to find, minutes away from Tokyo Midtown Complex or the Rappongi Metro. The dining room is extremely atmospheric and evocative of traditional Japan. You will feel you have walked back a bit in time. I think the other writers have already... More

I think previous reviewers must have been very rich, or were being wined and dined by business partners on corporate expense accounts. Yes, the whole setting is unexpected and the atmosphere is funny and nice. Yes, the food is fresh and tastes good. But what do you call charging 140 dollars for one small whole red snapper? To me, that's... More

This Japanese restaruant has all the ingredient in front of you, you pick whatever you want, and the chefs cook right in front of you by either grill or steam, it is not only fresh but also healthy! It is fun because you see how the food is cooked, and when the food is cooked they use this long wooden... More

If you do not enjoy this experience, something is wrong with you. Well staffed, with extraordinary food, should not miss this restaurant if you are in the area. Be careful! No prices on the menu, so you are going to spend some money. Great experience with friends, family, and even children! Wow, I cannot say enough good things!
