Not to hard to find but you do have to plan it in advance. A small place with an open kitchen and exposed skewers.. You can even sit on chairs outside/inside bar.. The ambiance is great, lots of people on a Friday night and very nice waiters, even though I am not sure if their screams are necessary or just... More

The smell of the food on the hibachi will draw you in, but the flavors and ambiance will keep you coming back. As the only westerner dining there and not being able to speak Japanese, it was a little difficult to order. Thankfully, I was seated at the grill next to a young couple who were more than willing to... More

One of a kind. Very noisy and local folkloric restaurant. You probably need a reservation after 8 pm. Food is tasty - like japanese skewers grill. Experience you will remember, because of place decor, atmosphere ... It is little, noisy, crowdy and hard to find place - but worth it.

I go a lot to this restaurant with friends, family and colleagues. It has become some kind of habit. They just have so nice food, its right round the corner from where i live and I always recommend it. try it your self.

We had a great (though pricy) meal at Jomon. Be ready to explore a bit, the restaurant isn't clearly marked and seems to go by a few names--but it's worth the hunt! We had the chefs selection of grilled skewers plus the croquettes (huge! And so good). That and a pitcher of beer and sake for two...and you'll roll out... More

I've been in Tokyo for 2 weeks and this was, by far, my favorite dinner yet. We called ahead and had a reservation for two people and were seated at the bar. (Right in the middle of the action). There was an English menu, but we chose to order OMAKSE or chef's choice and were not disappointed at all! The... More

Not the best food ever but still very good. The atmosphere is awesome, the waiters seem to be all friends, they seem they are having fun. Definitely one of the best places in Tokyo for the atmosphere.

Unpretentious local eatery. Don't forget to take off your shoes once you enter. The food is fantastic. The staff very friendly. They speak enough English. This is a must visit in the Roppongi area. Make a reservation. A very enjoyable experience.

All that has been written about Jomon is true. Only tip I can offer is give the cab driver the entire address code number so he can find it. (like Zip but more detailed#) Loud, fun, great food etc. Just go here.

Highly, highly recommended. My wife and I booked for 8:30 pm but, due to our flight home being messed around we turned up at 6:30 pm to see if we could eat early. After some confusion (I must learn to pronounce my name correctly in Japanese!) we finally got a seat. The guy did go out of his way to... More
