Sasa-no-Yuki is a old-school Tokyo tatami-style restaurant (take shoes off on the way in) in Taito. Its multi-course tofu feast will give you more different varieties of tofu than you may ever have dreamed possible--and they are all delicious. This was an unforgettable Tokyo experience.

This restaurant has a modest front and is in a rather industrial part of Tokyo, and is
less than 5 minutes' walk from Uguisudani JR Station (one stop north of Ueno). But when you walk in, it is almost like entering another world: serene; like a relic of yesteryear.

Like an Iron Chef episode, the theme of this 300+ year old restaurant is all tofu all the time. There is a choice of two (or was it three) set menus that start at 7 courses, each with the venerable tofu as the main attraction.
