The food was delicious & fresh. Intimate atmosphere. Good view. Great service. Our server was very attentive.

We tried pretty much every appetizer, entree, and dessert on the menu and loved everything. The food is amazing, as well as the service. The view added the extra ambience. This is a definite must!

We liked this place fairly well, but things were a bit spotty and it didn't quite live up to the hype. 3 stars doesn't quite seem right for the overall good experience we had, but 4 stars is way too many. This is because the price-point is the same as the handful of other "fine dining" establishments on the island,... More

My girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. The restaurant itself is gorgeous perched at the top of a mountain overlooking a bay. The staff are extremely friendly (they spread flower petals on the table when told it was my birthday) and the food was delicious. It is expensive but that can be said of the whole island.

booked dinner for 15 minutes before sunset. Arrived 20 minutes early and sat alone with my wife at the bar overlooking a spectacular sunset.... did I mention we were alone (well nearly!). by the time we sat down for dinner, my wife was so impressed with dining on the top of the hill, basically outdoors, watch the sunset that we... We stayed at Sugar Ridge and had dinner one night up at Carmichaels and drinks up there a few times. The view is ok - but you have a lot of dead ground in front of you before you see the sun hitting the sea. The bar is deadly - the music is dentist waiting room. The food is good,... More

This is one of those sad cases where you want so much to love it, but it just doesn't deliver. The setting is exquisite, and the service was gracious and professional. The first course started well, but both main courses were just... frankly, bad. We really did want to like it. We love fine dining, and were excited about this... More

Wonderful experience. The food was tasty but mostly the ambiance and sunset were amazing. We were referred to Carmichael's by guest services at the Verandah. They made reservations for us and ensured that we were there for the breathtaking sunset. The staff is wonderful and accomodating and can make an assortment of tasty drings.

During our visit to Antigua this was definitely my favorite restaurant. Great atmosphere and service. The seared tuna appetizer and the lobster cocktail was delicious. The blackened mahi mahi main course was tasty and very fresh. A little pricey but compared to some of the other restaurants I though it was worth it.

Antigua is a very expensive island but I'm prepared to pay for good service and worthy meals. Carmichaels, however, is neither! Service is unpolished and slow, and the food is incredibly overpriced for how mediocre it is. For starters - three thin slices of tasteless tomato with a few shreds of lettuce on top (literally!) for $13US. Last time I... More
