recently went and had the chicken and chips. The chicken was lovely and moist one of the best around, nice selection of starters with pate,chesse spread, and anchovies with fresh bread, slowly prices are creeping up but still good value for money.

The Avenida Restaurant is on the Rue Serpa Pinto in Sao Bras and although this looks basic from the outside don't be put off. Inside is clean and the staff are helpful and leave you to set the pace not smothering you all the time so you feel pressured. A good selection of meat and fish dishes made the Portugese...

Similar to Chiken Luis on price but more extensive menu. Food is good,lots of it but meant fo the locals and tourist not top end of the market but really good honest food in good atmosphere at very reasonable prices. Well worth a visit

If you want a meal that is very reasonably priced and well cooked - their chicken piri piri is absolutely excellent.

They have changed the restaurant around, they serve good honest portugese food sometimes the portions are too big so go with a big apetite, good value for money, they speak mainly portuguese and like it if you try to order something in their language
