Great place. Loved the interior with the international money stuck on the wall. Fresh seafood, which doesn't cost you an arm and a leg. The morning glory is really good here.

Although the place was quite crowdy both 2 times we've been to it, the staff handled it flawlessly, with genuine Thai smiles. Thai food was just superb with ~18EUR for 2 persons for a complete lunch of fish, soups and drinks. The owner has a great numismatic collection with 2 walls piled with money from all over the world, which... More

We have visited Kwong Shop Seafood restaurant several times while in Phuket. The food, atmosphere and service were always excellent. The typical lunch/dinner for 2 was around $35.

Short and sweet; We have eaten in many of Kata's restaurants (cheap and expensive) and for all round value, service friendliness and food quality this is about the best. Run by My Kwong and his family he runs a good show. Pick your fish...have it cooked whatever way you wish, and enjoy. Better value than nearly every other restaurant. Everything... More

This restaurant is pretty ordinary and trades on its overrated reputation rather than good food or good value. We had a lobster which ended up costing more than it would have in a much better class restaurant in Australia and it ended up being a frozen lobster which was chewy and tasteless. The Thai sauce it came with was not... More

This time was our third visit to Phuket and this little place was by far the most priceworthy restaurant we have visited. The food is absolutely delicious, and everything we continue to order tastes so good it gives us problem what to choose. When I first saw the place I was a little sceptical, because it did not look very... More

No complaints. Simple and tasty food, with impeccable service. Ordered King Prawns fried in garlic, which was well worth the money to me. Our 2 year old loved the fried chicken legs. A tasty pancake with strawberry and ice cream completed the dinner in a good way. Would go again, if I come back to Kata that is.

Stayed in Kata area for 3 days and i must say this is the best restaurant we have visited. There are a wide variety of seafoods to choose and the price is cheap. The service we got is great and the owner recommended some of the dishes which are fantastic. Will definitely revisit this restaurant!

Came here for dinner on recommendation by my guest house owner. Good food at reasonable prices. We had a group of 5 and the final cost per person was low for all of us to be fully fed! Food took a while to be served but we had loads of fun with the Connect 4 games. Good seafood place to... More

If you want fresh fish and fantastic service, this is the best place to go in Kata. We have used this restaurant for many many years and this is the place to get the best/fresh seafood.
